Webber apparently has spoken to the team about the pit call & is not very happy with the outcome.

Webber also called continuing start system problems 'a joke.' "We had a clutch problem and we acknowledge that," countryman and technical director Sam Michael admitted.

"To be honest I thought I would be having a better time (in 2005). But you're dreaming if you think it's handed to you on a plate."Webber said

Wondering with the next race in Germany,BMW's home GP too,if Nick is favoured again, expect fireworks at Williams.

I dont doubt callibre or talent Mark has to be a WDC.I think this outburst has come in terms of a shock to him bcause of what happened at Monaco.

Remember,he was signed first & Nick has come from the shootout.Mayb Mark had presumed to be the unofficial NO.1 in the team to head the WDC from Williams BMW team & seeing the PT(mayb thats the way he looks at it) to Nick has upset him very severely.

I hope this doesnt effect his performance at the ring.

I think Mark should be pretty happy how the WILLIAMS worked out around Monaco, suddenly they have a top 3 car and passed RENAULT and TOYOTA. Then they finished both cars on the podium and arguably the pit stop was no guarantee for Nick to pass him.

Mark should forget about small minded thoughts and focus on the job. As an example he probably was less effective to talk to by the technicians after that race than Nick and I would be happy if Mark took some positive motivation out of his superb Qualifying, focus on better starts and eventually discuss race strategy before rathaer than after the race....

BTW, Nick is underrated big time, similar to Rubens. Mark cant be too sure of an unofficial No.1 status at the moment..

I would still not put Williams in the top 3 category just yet.(Remember after Imola,every1 thought Ferrari is back  )

Nurburgring would definitely show their BMW power, but will their aero perform with long & fast corners :?: :?

Hi Kapel,

maybe it sounds like a joke but actually FERRARI is back since Imola. Bridgestone just have to shift tyre performance towards 1 quick lap...

RENAULT seems to have gone backwards consistently while MCLAREN are obviously at the very top at the moment.

WILLIAMS looked like top 3 in MC and youre right in that we should wait and see what happens next....

May this great season continue just like it started - and may the luck be shared evenly too...

Just remember, only one of the people you mentioned has become a WDC. We have heard this kind of attitude before, you just have to cast your mind back a little further. Many drivers from the past would not tolerate a mediocre performance.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

Bloody thieving underhanded W**kers at Minardi want a link with Hyundai....read this in The Australia yesterday;

There has also been talk of a link with Korean car manufacturing giant Hyundai, which Stoddart feels would help the team progress if he were to remain in the sport.

"I would love to have talks with Hyundai, but I have had no approach from them at all.

"But that is the kind of way I would like Minardi to go. Someone like Hyundai would be a perfect partner for someone like Minardi. That really would work," he said.

Bloody Sir Frank get his backside in gear otherwise Williams will be stuck with Diahatsu or the engine from Julian's old V8 ute

PS - while the quote from The Australian is real the rest of this post should be taken in jest

According to the Guardian, Patrick Head has told the team that they will use Cosworth 2.4 V8 engines for next season. The article also indicates that Frank Williams will be meeting with Button in the hope of convincing him to return to Williams next year.

Button has recently indicated he prefers to stay with BAR next season.

There is a now a rumour that Jordan is not going to stump up for Toyota engines, and in fact is going to sell out, leaving Toyota morally and technically able to supply Williams. I wonder if Sir Frank is playing his notorious games again. If the rumour about Jordan is true, and Toyota wants to supply another team, for the obvious benefits, Sir Frank is in the position of being able to say to them..."Cosworth is supplying me engines at $x...what is your offer?" I also hear a rumour that Sir Frank may have secured himself a nice amount of cash, and A Davidson as a test driver in a deal with BAR, to enable BAR to retain Button for next year. And a third rumour circulating on the money markets is that Sir Frank has secured a slice of Hutchkinson money if, or when, it buys out the Banks share of F1. The first two rumours came to me via motor sport media, from two vastly differing sources.

Just to clarify the Toyota rumour a tad, Sir Frank spent some days in L.A., tween the last 2 GPs., L.A. is the corporate HQ for Lexus. 8)
