The World Motor Sport Council approved the following calendar for 2007. There will be 17 races (Belgium returns while San Marino and Europe have been dropped). The Japanese Grand Prix moves to Fuji from next year.
There will be 5 back to back races in 2007.

The season commences in Melbourne on the 18th of March and end in Sao Paulo on the 21st of October.

Can't say I am sorry to see Imola go. However Nurburgring was kinda neat. But at least Spa is back

It is great to see Belgium back on the lineup, It is an incredible circuit....

I am rather sad to see Suzuka leave the Calendar though, I always enjoyed the racing there....Lets see how Fuji measures up, Like GKay said :

I believe it's provisional. But yeah. I'd rather have Suzuka too.

I just hope to be proven wrong in this case for the sake of our F1 pleasure. We gotta take bad with the good. One point of relief does exist though: Fuji's been redesigned and Tilke, being the guy who has designed the Istanbul circuit from scratch, will have done as much as possible to liven it up. At least I wanna believe so

15 April - 13 May That's a whole month! Maybe they will add another race inbetween. 17 race calendar is too short. And to think that at some point Bernie was talking about a 20-race season...

Thought about it. In the end I went with a combo of things I happen to like best. Location from S.R.Donaldson's Thomas Covenant series; Avatar from Pink Panther series' Clouseau; Signature from D.N.Adams' Hitchhiker's series... Hmm, I seem to be a series guy.

Anyway, in a feeble attempt to save the topic:
What circuit would you rather see if that 1 month gap were to be filled (probably somewhere in Europe, given the gap's between Bahrain and Spain) with a race of your choice?

looking at Tilkes other "go-kart' circuits, Istanbul was probably the result of a bad curry More power to the chef

This is an official list. It doesn't say it is provisional however given the gaps particularly at the start of the season, there may be room for an additional race or two.
Following the race in Australia there could be a race in Suzuka in Japan and even though San Marino isn't listed, there is space for it. The circuit organisers beleive the race will be held!

There is aslo speculation that the German GP will alternate between the Nurbrugring and Hockenheim and the rumour is that next year it will be held at the Nurburgring.

There is also the chance Turkey could be dropped but what will it be replaced by ?

So I would say that the calendar isn't yet finalised and going by past history, even some of the dates get changed!
