Ferrari F2005 to race in Bahrain

The Ferrari team announced that both Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello will race with the F2005 in Bahrain.
The spare car will be one of the F2004M's used in Australia and Malaysia ...

Interesting!! Ferrai said that the engine wich use the F2005 do not fit in the F2004M, so if the chassis brokes, they'll have to change the engine?

Thats an interesting question Sgd...
MIchael didnt do the fastest lap though,but i guess F2005 is their only hope,though the tyre would suffer again in the heat.

Well the engines in the F2005 and the F2004M are different for reasons well known . If they didn introduce it in Bahrain they would have had to wait till Spain I think to introduce the car without incurring a 10 spots grid penalty for change of engine ...so this is the right decision . I think they can win in Bahrain or at least get a podium

I am surprised by this. Having a spare car that isn't compatible with your race car is very risky.
If one of the drivers crashes in practice and is forced to used the spare car for qualifying, then that driver will be stuck with the 04M for 2 races.
Same applies if one of the drivers need to jump into the spare car before the start of the race for any reason. This is a new car that may still have problems.
It all points to one thing. they know the 04M will only score points if a few cars retire, so the only option really is to bring the F2005 and take the risk
One thing I don't understand is Todt saying "we decided to accelerate the development programme"
What does that mean really ? They were taking it easy before ? To me it sounds like cutting corners. I guess we'll know in a weeks time how good this accelerated program is

No not really, as I have said before until Michael Schumacher retires, I will predict him to win every single race. After which I will start predicting Fernando Alonso.
Fits my simple life with everything in each own little marked box.

Realistically I think that Fernando Alonso must line up as the favorite to win, closely followed by Giancarlo Fisichella. I think that Ferrari will be stronger than in Malaysia, and based on Rubens finishing second in Melbourne, the result of Malaysia was somewhat worselooking that what Ferrari is really worth this time of the season.
I find it fairly clear that the Michelin tires are much better than the Bridgestones, but since that is due to Ferrari and Bridgestones clear an unprecedented policy of one tire manufacture serving one team only, I can not participate in the overall crying of tears that some many Ferrari fans shed on this particular issue.
Go ahead and fight with what tools you have win and lose with them, but don't cry when one of your parts are overtaken, just grit it out and fight back.
I think that Renault and Ferrari will be the two strongest teams in Bahrain, closely followed by the Kimi driven McLaren.

Good philosophy KD. Unless they have been foxing in testing for some strange reason, I cannot see a ferrari better than 5th

I think that bridgestone will have a new recipe by the next race so ferrari 1st & 2nd is my prediction.........alonso 3rd

And how did/will Bridgestone come up with this magic recipe so quickly ? And why didn't they have it in Malaysia ? Please enlighten us Da Style
Perhaps they just hired Dupasquier, oh I haven't thought of that actually
