Klien out at Red Bull Racing......

Here's the links if anyone's interested.........

According to the above article(the first of the two links), Red Bull Racing has released, effective immediately, current driver Christian Klien and promoted Red Bull Racing's Friday driver, Robert Doornbos. Apparently, what happened was this.....after Red Bull Racing announced their 2007 driver lineup(Mark Webber, David Coulthard), they tried to give Klien the option of either driving in the German touring-car series(DTM) or traveling to NA to race in a Red Bull-funded ChampCar ride(most likely the seat would've been w/Forsythe Ch. Racing). Klien almost immediately rejected the DTM offer and this past Saturday, Klien rejected their offer to race in ChampCar(see the second link posted above...), so they decided to part ways with him earlier today.

Thoughts and comments.....?

According to Red Bull's official statement, Klien decided to pursue other options within Formula One !

Spyker perhaps ?

Spyker perhaps ?
Unless I'm mistaken, the end of the speedtv.com article mentioned that possibility; question, though, on that would be...if Klien were to get a ride with Spyker, who does he replace there, Albers or Montiero?

Could be a big mistake by Klein. I think it will be a while before Spyker become anything other than a backmarker.
I am hoping that Red Bull will be able to put a few podiums together next year.....
With Jacques now but a memory... I will be supporting Mark Webber. Not that I wasn't before but I started out as Jacfan, so I could hardly jump ship and abandon Jacques.

Sometimes it pays to take the testing/Friday role.
You are in front of the teams showing your skills rather than miles away. Kliens comment anout Sebastian Bourdais is true in that I don't know what more he could do to show the world what talent he really has but is still to get even a test in an F1 car.

Yeah be careful otherwise you could be accused of switching allegiances.
(Now all Red Bull need is to have a seriously good car next year   )

I honestly think that that is one of the biggest career mistakes Klien could possibly make.......

Not sure if it was all up to Klien! It seems he wasn't offered a place in F1 by Red Bull so he is trying to stay.

But isn't it interesting that Red Bull which is run by an Austrian is letting their Austrian star go!
