Says F1racing:
"On Wednesday Bernie Ecclestone signed a four-year deal with the Wallonian government. The Belgian Grand Prix wasn't organised this season as the organisation of the race went bankrupt.
In 2007 we'll see the famous track at Spa-Francorchamps return on the F1 calendar. The Belgians will have to organise the race themselves in 2007. And after that the FOA gave the organisers of the race three options: 1, the organisers will keep on organiseing the race. 2, Belgium will cancel the race and pay Ecclestone's FOA 18 million euro's in compensation. 3, Ecclestone will receive full control for 2008, 2009 and 2010 and receive compensation.
But most important for the fans; the Belgian Grand Prix will return next season. Many drivers love racing at Spa-Francorchamps and through the famous Eau-Rouge chicane.
The Belgian Grand Prix 2007 will be held September 16."

Spa is back for 4 years!
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move. - Douglas Adams (1952-2001)
I too am glad to have the Belgium GP back but Belgium seems to be paying a ridiculously high price to host this GP. And I fear the money they are being forced to spend on the circuit will not just be on infrastructure but the track as well. And I hate it when they do that.
