Topic to keep track of 2007 car launches
Renault is likely to launch its Formula One car for 2007 some time in January, team chiefs hinted in Holland on Monday.
At the press conference in capital city Amsterdam to confirm Dutch bank ING as new title sponsor, Renault Team Principal Flavio Briatore said the car - the R27 - and will be probably revealed to the world's media in the opening days of next year.
The Italian, however, did not want to speculate about the colours for the R27 - to be raced by Heikki Kovalainen and Giancarlo Fisichella - after thirteen years in the pale blue of 'Mild Seven'.
ING's prominent corporate colour is orange.
yeah good car not bad
But Briatore insisted: "The only important thing is that the car is fast."

Cool pics. Thanks man. It looks like Renault is returning to 80s style with the darker shade of blue. Personally I like the look.

The photo above can't be real as O2 are currently sponsors for BMW Sauber. There is some sort of a relationship between Telefonica and O2 but nothing has yet been announced for next year.
Can you please confirm icie the source of this image ?
PS. I've changed the title of this thread to "The Renault R27 livery ?". We will create another thread with the dates of the F1 car launches when teams start announcing them. At this stage only McLaren have set a date (14 to 16 January 2007).

Teams will slowly set their launch times these days. I like McLaren's new livery. Sort of retro look

I didn't like the Blue and Yellow at first but then I got used to it and to me it became one of the best color schemes out there. Well at least you knew it was a Renault!
I like the dark blue but isn't the Renault corporate color yellow ? Will they be mixing the yellow and the orange becuase of ING and making the blue more French ? Will it be good for TV

Like the Ferrari red!!
Will they call the team Renault RacING
Will they have Billy Connolly's image on the car
Go get a Renault and go racING with it (In a Scottish accent of course)
(And I thought ING was Scottish

)

I prefer the darker shade of blue too. And yes, the corporate color of Renault is yellow. Funny thing is that the ING logo is in the blue section of the paint

Guys I don't think the image above is real. I think it has been modified with Photoshop or something similar.
