We need about 30 having a go to cover all bases with these clues. :D
We start with the shotgun, and hone it down to the stiletto 8)

Next "Who am I" will start something like this:

"I drove a car once....."

And when we get that one, the next will be......"I was born."

"I raced for a Europe-based F1 team" would be a good start too :)

Yeah, and there are at least twice that many not mentioned yet.

We'll try to make the hints less reliant on luck and if you have any suggestions I would like to hear them.

In the meantime ....

The 2nd hint is:

I am a podium finisher
The initial question usually covers about 20 drivers; sometimes more than that in cases like the current question. On average 7 people post their picks. That means we initially HAVE TO rely on luck. After the second clue we really start to get in the game...

That said, I am not complaining. It's fun! Don't care if I never get one right...

As for suggestions... Maybe you could hint at a certain past GP and the incidents therein. Or perhaps refer to a particular year... Of course those might necessitate dropping the team name. I dunno, just an idea :)

Or perhaps a snapshot from a past GP where we get to guess the year or the car(s) or the driver(s) in that particular frame?

I think Ed is having fun laughing at us all attempting to figure out what he is thinking. 8)

Yeah I agree it is a lot of fun... even if we get it wrong.
Originally I thought it would help to have more F1 knowledge than I have but it looks like guessing is working as well as anything else.
Of course combined with a bit of knowledge.

I will try to make the next "Who Am I" a bit different then we'll see which style you prefer more!

Yes he is the obvious but last time I put the obvious I was wrong. :?
