Set amongst the Irish Hills in Michigan, Michigan International Speedway has hosted some of the best open-wheel races throughout its' history, and although MIS is officially off of the 2008 schedule(...........     ), there's still a race to be run here and, if it is anything like the past few IndyCar Series visits, could be a momentum-builder in the championship fight.

Weekend Schedule............................................
Practice Session 1(all cars on-track), 10 am-Noon, 4 August 2007
Practice Session 2(split into 2 groups), 1:15-3:15 pm, 4 August 2007
Qualifying Session, 4:30 pm, 4 August 2007
Firestone Indy 400, Noon, ESPN-2
--domestic radio, IMS Radio Network
--satellite radio, XM Satellite Radio Chs. 144(XM Sports Nation) and 145(IndyCar Racing)
--the race will also be simulcast on the United States Armed Forces Network

With some clouds off in the distance, qualifying for tomorrow's Firestone Indy 400 is about to begin; each driver gets two laps to set their fastest time of the session.....should a team withdraw their driver from the qualifying line, they will get to attempt a qualifying run but they will fall to the end of the line and will be allowed to run only one lap...........
