INVESTIGATION INTO FIA.

Just when we thought it was safe to come out from under the blankets, The Eurpean Comission has been asked to investigate the team selection process.
There has been an odour about the process from day one, with teams being forced to use Cosworth engines
A Serbian outfit, with serious credentials had lodged an application, which we, the public, new nothing of, much less that they had Mike Loughlin on board, have two wind tunnels, aerospce expertise etc, etc, has initiated the investigation, and will not rest til it happens.
The last time the European Commission investigated F1, a couple of notable people had their fingers smacked, 8)

Indeed and now David Richards agrees saying "I consider it to be highly irregular and adding "I don't think it is at all appropriate for the sport's governing body to say that sort of thing"

I don't think anything'll come out of it, Julian. If anything, the EC ought to tell the Serbian outfit this........."When your country hands over certain war criminals, including a Bosnian Serb general named Ratko Mladic to the Hague and other international tribunals, we might feel inclined to consider your complaint against the FIA. Otherwise, please take a number and we'll get to it eventually......"

F1: Stefan GP Owner Speaks Out

Interesting article concerning Stefan GP, the Serbian-based prospective Formula 1 team that has filed a complaint w/the European Commission over the FIA's filing process/procedures in selecting the new F1 teams(USF1, Manor, Campos, etc.). Although I think they made some salient points in the article, I'm still of the following opinion towards them(quoting from a previous post.........)

Do you think Mercedes Benz should be discriminated against for similar reasons, emanating from WW2.
