A great race in Montreal with plenty of overtaking and plenty of lead changes. Hamilton won the race ahead of Button and Alonso. Vettel managed 4th who just made it to the finish nursing his car. Webber who seems to have been compromised by his strategy finished 5th with Rosberg in 7th. Buemi in the Toro Rosso finished an impressive 8th ahead of the two Force India cars

Welcome to the club, Julian. Schuey wasn't the only one to show an utter lack of respect this weekend; at LeMans for the 24, Anthony Davidson pretty much ran one of the Corvettes' off the road..............

Apparently, he must've took his driving lessons from Schuey.

I've got to agree regarding Schumacher. His car was a dog, but his driving was even worse and his treatment of Massa bang out of order. I hope he gets a harsh penalty for the next race.

On the results more generally, I think Button should be best pleased. He was way behind Hamilton in qualifying, and managed to climb several places (admittedly helped by a strategic blunder and gearbox problem from Webber and more reliability woes for Vettel).

:D Greetings chaps!

Absolutely have to agree with Guest and mlittle re: the great Schuey! It has been Michael's practice, since he first jumped into Eddie Irvine's car at Belgium in whatever year it was in the misty past :), do do ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING HE COULD TO GET WINS AND POINTS, to stretch every regulation, to bend every rule, to stiff any driver, to risk his own and everyone else's lives to WIN! That's probably why he has seven WDCs. He, like Ross Braun isn't interested in winning anyone's love or affection.

But now the evil Ron Dennis has surfaced again and his boy, Lewis Hamilton is looking to take Michael's principals and apply them to his own ambition to tie and surpass Michael's Magical Seven. And given his youth and his association with McLaren, I fully expect him to succeed.

Look at the cheating on Qualification for example: running a whole lap's less fuel than the competition and shutting down while still on course is EXACTLY the kind of tactics Michael and Ross used to practice. And the results are also EXACTLY the same: wins and points.

By rights this should be Webber's year, but it will go to Hamilton if Mr. D. and his denizens have their way

Both Lewis and Michael are great at grinning in press conferences and pretending that they know nothing about such things.

My favorite driver is still the Ice Man, tho' I am warming to Fernando, not only because he is driving the hell out of the sled the Maranello morons have given him, but because he is having such a good time showing everyone what a great driver can do. Right behind him is Bob Kubica.

Not to take anything away from Red Bull, but can you imagine what the points standings would look like had Mark been partnered by either the Renault or the Ferrari driver!?!

I love Sebastian, too. Don't get me wrong. But Red Bull is giving a master class in how to blow the WDC this year. What do they lack? A cold blooded, absolute gangster. A Ross Braun or a Ron Dennis.

As an honorary tifosi, it breaks my heart to say it, but the big red cars are being played for fools this year.

From now on, it will be lady luck alone who puts another red car on the podium. I'm picking Hamilton and Button to continue their one-twos to the last race. 8)

I kinda' thought that was you, my friend........... :)
Anyway, you're spot-on about "the great Schuey" and his tactics; judging by the actions of some of the competitors over at LeMans this past weekend, it seems to have rubbed off..........

As to Hamilton.........I really, really hope he does not go the way of "the Great Schuey" and start using the same tactics; IMO, Hamilton's too good a driver to employ those tactics on a regular basis(his antics in qualifying notwithstanding........)

As to Red Bull........WTF is going on over there? Are they trying to LOSE the WDC? Not to take anything away from Christian Horner, but Red Bull really needs someone along the lines of a Ron Dennis or....even someone like Flavio Briatore, to run that team. Can you imagine either of them letting Red Bull go along as it has the past few races?

Then again, there's Ferrari. Is it just me, or are the Scuderia just mailing it in each week?

And to think.............I got to watch one great race(LeMans...........still can't believe my sentimental favorites, i.e. the #61 Matech Competition Ford GT, a/k/a the Swiss Misses, didn't win GT1 honors..........) and one not-so-great race(Montreal). Come to think of it, you could've put any of the three from the #61 into Schuey's car and any of the three could've probably driven better Sunday in Montreal than Schuey did.
