Re: The 2019 French GP Thread
Well, what is there to say.
Typical Friday track conditions with a severe lack of grip. Many teams had spins and offs while testing the limits of adhesion.
Mercedes are on top. Ferrari have turned up with some new aero.
The Renault of Hulkenberg had smoke coming up through the cockpit as a result of the plank making contact with the track.
Grosjean has a disrupted session with a water leak limiting running to only nine laps.
There is one driver who will definitely be starting at the rear of grid with Russell and Kubica.
Daniil Kvyat's Toro Rosso has new a MGH-H, MGU-K, Power Unit and other components.

Re: The 2019 French GP Thread
It is going to be a difficult Saturday with temperatures expected to rise into the 30 degrees Celsius range, up from the current mid 20's.
Again, the track is slippery with many either missing their apexes or locking fronts under heavy braking.
Lewis Hamilton had an off that took out a bollard but then re-entered the track causing Verstappen to miss his apex and himself have a small off. No damage to either car but both were summoned to the stewards for a chat.

Re: The 2019 French GP Thread
The FIA have rejected Ferrari's appeal of Sebastian Vettel's 5 second penalty for his unsafe re-entry during the Canadian grand prix.
Placings will remain unchanged.
