Third: Max Verstappen
Fourth: Sebastian Vettel
Fifth: Valtteri Bottas
Sixth: Alexander Albon
Seventh: Lando Norris
Eighth: Daniel Ricciardo
Ninth: Carlos Sainz

Re: Round of Japan '19 - Picks and Comments
CMLEAN and I are the only ones playing these days.
And I think he's just too excited about the Ferrari driver not from Germany. Anyway here are my picksL
1. Lewis Hamilton will cruise to another Japanese GP win
2. LeClerc will try to pass Lewis and end up having to re-pass Seb AND Bottas, which, because Seb is now a nice team player and Bottas is easy to rattle
3. Vettel will play nice-y nice and smile in the drivers' room after the race, beginning his psy war for next year
4. Bottas will drive his well prepared and efficient Merc to the edge of the podium but not make it
5. Verstappen will make a mighty effort, but I don't think the Honda will be enough
6. Albon will manage to keep Red Buill in place and hope one of the others will fail like Seb did in Russia
7. Gasley will try to best Albon, but I don't think he'll manage
8. Perez will try to put the pink car in the top five but in the end will have to be happy to make the top ten
9. Sainz will drag the McLaren in, just barely [So sad to see a great team heading in the direction of Williams; I wonder when there will be a return to the golden years of British racing in F1?
10. I give Kimi this final point and I wish I could give him a ride in a decent machine!
The pole will be Lewis's as he teaches little Charles how it is done
cheers, Jim

My Racing Gods: Fangio, Vukovich; Senna & Mears --all racers all the time; graceful winners & generous in defeat, but never giving up!!
Re: Round of Japan '19 - Picks and Comments
Hi Jim. I think that we are the only 2 willing to show our picks. Many seem to come for a look but none are willing to put pen to paper (so to speak).
I do like your thinking though. Mercedes seem to dominate at this circuit and, if the 2 practice sessions held so far are any indication, it looks like they will do so again.

Re: Round of Japan '19 - Picks and Comments
It looks like we may have to wait a while for the results of Japan '19 to be posted as the protest by Racing Point against Renault will affect the 10'n'Pole outcome for this event.

Re: Round of Japan '19 - Picks and Comments
The FIA have handed down their decision on the protest by Racing Point against Renault.
The decision excludes both drivers from the results in Japan.
Lance Stroll and Daniil Kvyat both move into the top 10.
Renault has 24 hours to decide on whether they will appeal the decision.
