2022 Season
Will there be a guessing game this year?
Re: 2022 Season
Well, maybe I figured out how to raise what Bahrain 2022 Qualifications suggest is Mercedes's problem. They power eight machines, more than any other power plant manufacturer. But only two qualified in the top 10 [5th and 9th] Ferarri powers six machines and four of them qualified in the top 10 [1, 3, 6, & 7]. Honda powers four machines and placed 3 in the top 10 [2,4 & 10]. Looks to me like Lewis will be joining Vettel and Alonso this year while watching LeClerc and Sainz, Verstappen and Perez pile up points. but that's racing, isn't it?

Hi Jim
It looks like 10'n'Pole will be having a hiatus in 2022. I'll keep posting GP results and a few thoughts in the Racing strand.

Re: 2022 Season
To all our dear 10 'n' Pole players,
After 21 years of running this competition, we will take a break in 2022 and take time to review the concept and the underlying technology.
During 2021 we faced several challenges mainly relating to the platform as the technology we use is now outdated and requires significant changes to ensure a smooth and reliable user experience.
We thank all of our players for taking part all these years and hopefully we will be back in 2

Dear CM Lean:
And here I thought there was something wrong with my computer! I reckon it makes sense to take time to figure out how to get more chaps back to posting their picks and reasons here. Since there were so many folks making picks and just not bothering to share them I can see why you're taking a year to revisit the concept. Good luck

We had a bit of a chat and decided it was time for a short break for 10 'n' Pole.
I'm still hanging around like a bad smell but just posting in the individual races. Glad to have you still about!
Re: 2022 Season
It would be interesting to resume this, but there's probably no polling hereJim Watt wrote: ↑Sat Apr 09, 2022 9:31 am Dear CM Lean:

Re: 2022 Season
Hi DarOv
I have been in touch with owner of the site and we have had discussions about resuming the 10'n'Pole contest in 2024. It had been running for basically 20 years and I had been involved with it since around 2005.
A poll is a great suggestion. I do know one of the participants is my current manager at my place of work. Who would have thought?

I think that if there is any interest, this competition will be active. For example, some kind of branded T-shirt for the winnercmlean wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2023 4:26 pm I have been in touch with owner of the site and we have had discussions about resuming the 10'n'Pole contest in 2024. The possibility of the contest being re-launched in 2024 is good news.

Re: 2022 Season
Back in the 8'n'Pole days, there used to be prizes given for round winners. This disappeared after Facebook came along and interest in the competition began to dwindle. There were still the hard core members though who continually placed their tips each round and year.
