FP1 commenced with showers over half the circuit and the track remained wet throughout the session.
Many teams did basically an out lap followed by an immediate in lap so many failed to register a time.
Lance Stroll had an off late and ended in the gravel bringing the session to a close.

It's worth noting that the Williams duo are running 2 different iterations of their 2022 car.
Massive updates have been brought to the British Grand Prix to only Alex Albon's car.
It will be interesting to see whether they are heading in the right direction but, given the difference in times between the two in FP2, things are looking positive.

Wow! The race started with a massive shunt which took out 3 cars. Zhou Guanyu and his Alfa Romeo flipped and slid through the gravel trap before again flipping into the catch fence. Lucky man with the car hitting flat on the undertray on the fence. Alex Albon hit the pit wall following a collision with Sebastian Vettel and was the only driver to be taken to hospital. Many others were damaged however were repaired in pit lane while under the red flag.
The final safety car occurred with just over 10 laps remaining which then brought the race to it's exciting climax with 6 drivers in contention for the victory.
