Jenson Button wanted to move to Williams in 2006 after being forced to stay at BAR in 2005 by the Contracts Recognition Board. Now he's changed his mind and wants to stay with BAR!
Williams claim they have a contract with him and he'll be driving for them while Button is openely stating that he doesn't want to drive for Williams and wants to stay with BAR.
BAR are now saying whilst they would love to have Button drive for them next year, it is a matter between Jenson and Williams to resolve.
Jenson has issued a statement after (according to Jenson) articles in the media casted doubts on his honesty and integrity.
Jenson makes it clear that he told Sir Frank Williams that he doesn't want to drive for Williams next year.
He states that he didn't sign a contract with Williams 7 months ago but there are 'relevant' documents issued in August and September 04.
He clarifies that the money paid to him by Williams was for him to agree not to drive for Williams in the 2001,2002,2003 and 2004 seasons!

Well, obviously Jenson is not too lucky with contracts.....
The statement doesnt quite put the record straight, many points remain unclear and more than likely that Williams are in hand of his services for 2006.

Jenson is wriggling like a worm on a fishing trip. He is not doing himself any favours at all. And he has won how many GPs ?

Sounds as though Button wants to weasel his way out of the mess he created in 2004. Let's see, last year, he tries to go from BAR-Honda to Williams, but gets stopped by the Contract Recognition Board, w/the proviso that he has to have 3/4ths' of the pts. the championship ldr. has by the 3/4-mark of the following season. Since that ain't gonna' happen, why is he still trying to fight his way out of it? If this goes on any longer, it sounds as though Button might not have a seat in F1 next year at all.

team managers don't forget. Jenson is doing himself no favours at all, in terms of a long career in F1. I think he has been carried away by his own self image as the only up and coming Brit in F1.

Well now, that would really deal a low blow to his self proclaimed legendry status as an equal to shumi(on track)....or maybe it will knock him back into reality.

with the rubbish he has been issuing to (some of) the press, it would take at least a hit for six, or the Sth African front row to do that. Congratulations on you team's well fought victory. I know this is off subject but I just want to point out that Sth Africa have played right into my hands. As soon as we get rid of the coach and the captain, Australia wil start to play Footy again ( Nearly as well as the All Blacks, eh

Just read Nick Fry's intervue,I think he's not to concerned about Button staying here.Suddenly,in a weeks time he's changed his stance from going all out in support of Button to tell him to sort out things by himself

...
Obviously the chnage of heart was b'cos he has Rubinho who will be the lead driver
Well Button or self proclaimed Schumi on track,go to Williams without losing face in front of other teams

I would like to see him drive for Williams, if only as a measure of Webber's ability

JENSON is good enough for any team, and Im pretty sure most of the teams would be more than happy about his services. More than speaking of his abilities verbally he goes on about his business on the track. You cant complain about todays "boring" drivers and at the same time if they say something controversial. JENSON is OK.
Last year he didnt produce any mess himself, there were just 2 different readings of the contractual situation at WILLIAMS, who had an option on him.
JENSON is a similar type and speed of driver as MARK but arguably much more efficient.

That would pay for Katherine Legge, with change left over for the odd engine
