Thoughts on the Brazilian Grand Prix

Congratulations to Fernando Alonso for becoming the 2005 Formula 1 World Champion. He needed to finish 3rd and that is what he did. He was calm and consistent despite the pressure he was under.
Well done to Juan Pablo Montoya who fought off a challenge from Kimi Raikkonen and won the race for the second time in a row. Well done to McLaren who for first time this season achieve a 1-2 finish. They have now taken the lead in the Constructors' Championship from Renault for the first time this season!.
Michael Schumacher managed 4th which is a good result considering the poor results of the last few races. What is encouraging for Ferrari is that they pulled away from Toyota in the Constructors' Championship.
Giancarlo Fisichella had an impressive qualifying yesterday but his race pace wasn't!. He dropped 2 places on the first lap and ended behind Michael Schumacher.
Rubens Barrichello finished 6th ahead of Jenson Button again demonstrating the good pace from the Ferrari here. Button on the other hand struggled from the start and just managed to hang on to 7th ahead of Ralf Schumacher in the Toyota.
The Toyota wasn't on pace either and they are now too far behind Ferrari to realistically challenge them for 3rd.
Christian Klien had a superb qualifying but struggled in the race finishing just outside the points in 9th. Sato who started from the back managed 10th while the 2 Saubers finished in 11th and 12th.
Coulthard managed to take both Williams out of the race at the start. He tried to squeeze between the 2, clipped the rear tyre of Pizzonia sending him into a spin that took out Webber! The stewards aren't investigating any of the drivers but it looked an ambitious move by Coulthard.
