BATHURST 2006
This is the place for all the gossip, rumour, and the occasional fact about Bathurst for 2006
Tickets for BATHURST 2006 go on sale in mid-february. If you are planning a trip to Bathurst this year, or even considering it, I strongly recommend getting your tickets asap. The demand will be unprecedented for 2006.
I can confirm that of yesterday the Mt. Panorama track is in excellent condition, and the view from Skyline down thru the Dipper to the Esses and Forrest Elbow is equal to, if not better than, any sight on any track in the World. (I will be putting new brake pads on "Therapy" this afternoon). Should you be planning a pre-season expedition, please note that the Local Highway Constabulary are now known to drive around the track in Ford GT's with heavily tinted windows. I strongly recommend that you observe the local speed limits on the Mountain, and refrain from "drift" entries into The Chase.

Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

If they're anything like our dedicated, civic-minded, North Carolina Highway Patrol officers......they eat their own young, and have for years.....at least that's how the myth goes.Julian Mayo wrote:That has to be a myth, or we would have run out of H'way patrol officers years agorah wrote:They also eat their own young.Julian Mayo wrote:

Good question......at least ours aren't like the geniuses down in Texas; those guys'll shoot you as soon as look at you.Julian Mayo wrote:Then where does the next generation of H'way patrol come from...........(and ours would make yours look like kindergarten teachers)

If the V8Supercar powers do not go ahead with their plans to make teams split their lead drivers.....ie the two regular drivers for each team will be forced to pair with drivers other than their regular teammates.rah wrote:Ryan Briscoe is confirmed to partner Jimmy in HRT for bathurst and sandown. Will be good to see him having a go.

Not in the spirit of it if you ask me.
It is being reviewed, by V8Supercars, with a view to retrospective legislation.
