Is Ambrose going to Nascar for a new challenge, or is he jumping ship before The Stone Bros get run over?

Hasn't this guy won enough in V8's. He's making a wise move. Leave at the top!!

Unlike some in F1

I think he likes sticking it to holden, and a certain Mark Skaife, who is perceived by some,(as reported in Motor Racing news & Auto Action) as being a tad "arrogant" Skaife runs the "works Holden" team, if you don't(yet) understand v8s

Ambrose was over in the USA before H Valley and raised some eyebrows with his quick times, and quickly achieved times, on the ovals. He tested in "trucks " a bit like V8 utes...perhaps Mfer could provide more info?

As usual when a top seat becomes available for the next season, the gossip flies around the pits.
Heading the list of names, and firming, (IMHO) to take Ambrose' seat at SBR, is
Steven Richards.
He is contracted to Larry Perkins Racing next year, But :
Larry is losing his long term sponsor Castrol next season.
Larry is becoming more and more heavily involved in the engineering side of his business, with his commitment to providing engines to other teams.
So
Larry might not run a team next year.
Steve is the type of driver any team would like to have. He is noted for his work ethic (testing, sponsor nursing, fan days etc,) he is quick, clean and cool. The Kiwi connection helps too, he speaks the same language !!!

Larry has stated that he absolutely, definitely, will not release Richo from his contract to go to another team. I think that means " I am just waiting to see how big the Ford wad of dollars is, that they are going to wave at me." 8)
