Who's better: Jenson Button or Dan Wheldon?
After this weekend, it's a no-brainer for me: Dan "Well done"!!
Unfortunately, it was a no brainer for the Honda team as well.

Hola Chris
You certainly never shy away from a challenge

If we look at the number of premiere class race wins and championships it's also a no brainer! Perhaps one day we will see them racing side by side, or maybe they'll pass like ships in the night Jenson leaving F1 for a proper job racing at respectable speeds, in respectable equipment without driver aids. And Dan coming to F1 to suffer the 'slings and arrows of outrageous fortune favours those who lick Max and Bernie's communal a***e!'

May I just ask where all this sudden hostility is coming from? ..
The fuel rig episode was not...........Entirely Jensons fault......

Sorry Chris
No hostility was intended except to Max and Bernie's idea of motorsport. I was just praising Dan's achievements and acknowledging the catagory that he has achieved them in. After all they go round at a fair old lick, have no driver aids and face walls on the edge of the track. Whenever F1 comes into proximity of a wall the show grinds to a halt and only six cars take to the grid (sorry that sounds hostile again) I trying for tongue in cheek

I reckon Jenson would thrive in America and Dan would thrive in F1 however I think that F1 is overated and badly managed so if I were his manager I'd advise him to stay put. I would really like to know which driver is the best out of all of 'em actually and it shames me to say it but Max actually had a good idea when he suggested they all drive each others cars for parts of the season!
Got to fly Chris
I really like a lot of your posts and ideas and am quite cuddly when you get to know me

Sorry T-k, Sorry Chris
Was in a bit of a race against time earlier and thought Chris was replying to my reply. T-K there isn't that much hostility there, apart from my comments about Max and Bernie. I don't think either Chris or myself were inferring any fault on Jensons part. We were just trying to ascertain which driver was better or perhaps held in higher regard. For my part I will always consider Jenson's talent as outstanding I used to watch him karting and he was bloody brilliant scything through the field and competing with a very rare kind of commitment and ability. I got to watch him in F3 and he was astonishing there too. When he arrived in F1 I felt sure he would win in no time. But the nature of F1 cars doesn't really show Jenson's real strengths, he would be devasting on an oval racing in cars that are capable of overtaking, driven by drivers who respect one another and drive accordingly most of the time. Look at Zanardi all his skills and brilliance were annihilated by F1. JPM's skills have been masked by the inadequacies of the pinnacle of motorsport, overtaking is very imporrtant in my book and just mixing up the grid does nothing to solve the inherent problem of dirty air and breaking distances measured in microns.

That is probably a misunderstanding on my part
I thought you were referring to the fact that JB dropped so far back after being in such a competitive position, and that had "Dan 'well done'" been in his position, he wouldve done a better job.........my mistake.....

Haven't seen Done Well Done race sorry

and perhaps James Allen hasn't seen his race either. So he must be doing well
Jensing had his radio switched to ITV commentary - The James Allen Channel (he only listens to MJB on the formation lap BTW

) and didn't notice dragging the fuel thingy down the pit lane until he heard James Allen scream in his ears (you know typical TV 3 second delay

)
Well Done more lucky perhaps ? Or do you have a person like James Allen over there across the pond ?
I hope the Button wins this year but Alonso is making it too difficult
