Fisichella at Renault for how long ?

So far 1 win from pole and 3 disasters. Pretty much the same pattern as last year.

He will only win when everything is perfect. Unsettle him just a tiny bit and he'll be out of contention.

How long will Fisichella last at Renault ? or in other words, how long can Flavio keep up with this ?

I reckon he'll be out around Hungary time and Flavio will give Kovalainen a chance before giving him the drive next year.

Another poll please Ed

- Out during this season
- Out at the end of this season
- Will get an extension for a year
- Will stay with Renault until he wins the championship :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:
Sorry

Briatore wants someone else to pay for Kovy's race training, as with Mark.

Kovi doesn't need any race training! He will make Son of Keke look like a Tonka Toy Driver. You just wait  he is awesome. don't let what happened to him in GP2 fool you, in the right car he will make fools of us all  :coffee: :argue: :croc: :fly: :horn: :fly2:

I hate it when they do that to trees they never look right after that.

But I do like to vote I say he stays, you should never undersestimate the benefits of having at least one driver who knows how the team works.

He will stay another year. To have two brand new drivers is a big ask.

I don't see Fisi and Kov racing next year. It will be Fisi and Schumi or Kimi.

But you only have to look at my tipping scores to put a value on my predictions.

Next year Renault will probably field Mark Webber and Fisichella.

Williams will be Kimi Raikkonen and Nico Rosberg.

Schumacher will hang for another year at Ferrari foiling Kimi's plan to take on the Scuderia.

Montoya will replace Coulthard at Red Bull joining Christian Klien.

David Coulthard and Rubens Barrichello will replace Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher at Toyota.

Jarno Trulli will land the Honda seat to partner the returning Jenson Button.

Ralf schumacher will get a testing gig for BMW-Sauber which will hang onto Nick Heidfeld and Jacques Villeneuve.

AND... of course, Dan Wheldon will join Fernando Alonso in the McLaren which will announce it is dropping Mercedes for Renault engines!

...so there you have it. My dellusional early version of the silly season for 2007.

Tankew, tankew!

Renault don't pay so I can't see Michael there
I think Briatore is just saying that to put pressure on Fisichella

I am willing to bet that Kovalainen is driving next year for Renault.

If Renault are reasonably ahead in the championship Briatore will put him in the car this year to give him some race experience.
Of course the opposite applies too, Briatore would put him in if Alonso becomes the only points scorer.

That way Kovalainen will not only have testing experience with the team but also race experience. Webber could go there but I doubt that becuase Briatore wouldn't want to have two drivers he manages racing against each other. Stranger things have happened but he could get Montoya as he should be relatively cheap to hire and wanting to prove a point. Risky but!

There is also de la Rosa !!

MS has enough money now. Everyone knows he wants to finish on a high. He will go with whoever he thinks he can win with.

Kimi will be at Ferrari or Renault next year, I really don't think he can consider any other team at the moment.

I reckon the only people Renault want now are Kimi or MS. They need a champ or a soon to be champ. No one else could make marketing sense.

The cost think of the cost! Renault running Kovi is the best option, he regularly tops the tests and has even outpaced Fer nandO (I sang his name! did you notice? It was very Abba) on occassion. I reckon he is quicker and that is why Fer nandO (I did it again!) jumped ship. He said pay me more or I go. And Renault said 'so go we have our secret weapon of mass domination; Kovi.' Fer nandO  said 'I'm off to Mclaren then' and they all laughed their collective heads off
