According to Joe Saward it is a done deal for 2007.
Williams will pay Toyota for the engines (pick a number between $1mill and $10mill per year).
With the single tyre supplier next year being Bridgestone, Toyota and Williams will have a lot of data to share.
Mark Webber is going to have a lot to think about for 2007, altho' as he says, the final decision rests with Sir Frank.(
Hmmmm, what about performance clauses?) 8) [/b]

Mark Webber was asked on Thursday (8/6) about the Williams Toyota deal and said:
Well, there?s loads of speculation but as usual, until it?s all done, you never never know. But first of all Cosworth have not let us down anywhere this season in terms of? we had the one rear of the field at the start of the race in Nurburgring, but the pace of the engine has been absolutely phenomenal for us all year. It?s one of the best V8s if not the best V8 ever. It?s an incredible engine and there are some very good guys there. So if we do change, there?s a big set of shoes to fill, to fill Cosworth?s role that they?ve done for us this year

I expact Midland to run Cosworth engines in 07, and Williams/Toyota to run a Lexus badged engine. Which may bring an American driver into the team as Toyota pushes for Lexus sales in the USA.

So Mark is definately off to sunnier climbs then. Care to guess which American driver?

Either I have a complete mental block or my computer has found a way to block these ads without me having to lift a finger.

It might be that I'm on a different server in the UK that is not working properly and is unable to attach ads at the moment. Whichever it is I want to tell you that it is heavenly not waiting for those f***in things to load Ed should switch them off for a day just so everyone can get a feeling of what it is like to use this forum unfettered and free :fly2: like me :woohoo:

it's Dan! I know nothing ha! I don't believe you :D
