MotoGP of Germany-Sachsenring (Rossi Wins) Your Thoughts?

The Sachsenring was built in 1996 in order to put a stop to the street races that took place on closed public roads, and, although used mainly as a driver training center and road safety station, the Sachsenring also plays host to the German round of the MotoGP calendar.

The first section of the track is a very tight set of corners which is said by many to be better suited to karting than to any other form of racing, and as such, this is known as one of the slowest tracks on the MotoGP calendar.

Stoner has been taken to hospital after a high side in warm up.
A literally last minute descision will be made as to whether he starts. The Doc say no, Stoner says wait. The good news for Stoner is that the factory teams are lining uo to sign him for next year, when the bikes drop to 800cc.
Suzuki is rumoured to be well ahead of the other teams in 800cc development 8)

You're right Julian, Stoner crashed off at the ultra-fast downhill right hander...He hit his head during the accident and, while able to walk away, was sent to hospital for a scan before a decision was made to withdraw from the race....

A fantastic race! :D Excitement all the way, it made the GP in France look decidedly pedestrian. Ho hum 8)

Rossi was masterful
Marco rode out of his skin as did Nicky and Dani. An outstanding race.

The 250's put on a great show as well. :D

Please explain !
Neurologists, the team, and Casey say he is fit to ride.
The track doctor says he is not.
I wonder if the Doctor is now counting what was in the Repsol bag that was "left in his hotel"..

Reminiscent of a 250 race. Less than a second covering the first 4 placings. Exciting stuff.
