25 February: The drivers and 'their' F2005 In jacket and tie rather than race overalls, as occurred at the presentations of years gone by, the four Ferrari drivers - Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Luca Badoer and Marc Gen� - revealed their expectations and aims for the 2005 season. Marc Gen�, in his first season with the Prancing Horse, kicked things off. "Formula 1 is the best", began the Spaniard. "Ferrari, though, is something more. It is a dream and now, for me, a reality. This will be a busy year and I want to give one hundred per cent in developing this car. I wish that this very special squad obtains all the success that it desires. Forza Ferrari!" Luca Badoer, on the other hand, is now a veteran as this is his eighth year with Ferrari. "It is always emotional, even after so many years. Ferrari is my second home, my second family. It will be an honour for me to carry out the early development of the F2005. I think that it is a fantastic car that will give us a lot of satisfaction. The first phase of development is very precious and I cannot wait to make it onto the track so that the car makes its debut as soon as possible". "Yesterday I spent almost the entire day with the new single-seater", stated Barrichello. "I can safely say that I am already in love with it. I am certain that it will bring good results. We will surely miss it during the opening races but we will, as usual, do our best and this makes me very hopeful for the upcoming season" Michael Schumacher has now clocked up ten Ferrari Formula 1 single-seater presentations. "Even after nine times it is an emotional, happy and nervy moment. Our new car seems very good and I hope that it will bring good results on the track", declared the current World Champion. "It is very important to have a strong squad as, even after so many years of success, I feel that everyone is as motivated as ever. I can only say that I hope for the best this year.
