6 April: Formula 1 Testing - 5 - 8 April 8 of the Formula 1 teams were at the Barcelona circuit today. Only Jordan and Minardi were not present. The teams concentrated on setup and tyre testing in preparation for the upcoming San Marino and Spanish Grands Prix. Pedro de la Rosa set the fastest time of the day with a 1:14.391 followed by Ricardo Zonta and Fernando Alonso. Anthony Davidson in the BAR covered the most number of laps with 143. Fisichella was again hampered by mechanical problems. Weather conditions were fine with air temperature reaching 21 degrees while track temperature reached 27 degrees. Testing continues tomorrow with Rubens Barrichello, Kimi Raikkonen and Takuma Sato joining the test. Formula 1 Team notes below
