| 14 December: Formula 1 Testing - Jerez - Day 7 On the 7th day of the mega test at Jerez, Renault Test driver Franck Montagny set the
fastest time of the day in a restricted V10 ahead of Williams Test driver Narain Karthikeyan in a V8. Franck Montagny's best time was a 1:18.804 while the fastest time set Karthikeyan in a V8 powered car was a 1:19.171. Renault's Test driver Heikki Kovalainen covered the most number of laps with 104 laps. There were many red flags today but there were no major offs. Weather conditions were cloudy with some drizzle in the afternoon. Air temperature reached 15 degrees while track temperatures reached 16 degrees. Testing continues tomorrow.
