Fernando is banging in lap after lap of consistently outstanding laps. Michael has put in some consistent laps this afternoon after he and Massa spent most of the morning in the pits (no idea why). Kimi is second fastest but didn't run much in the morning and his times seem a bit oddly eratic (no idea why).

Rubinho is not performing very well today  however he seemed more comfortable in the car yesterday. And was outpacing Antony. :|

I really hope Honda can sort out their tyre issues so we can get on with some toe to toe racing in Eurp :P
I agree with the toe to toe :) and wish RB would figure this left foot thing. Honda wont build him a different car like ferrari did so he needs to get it together!

I've tried locking him out of the house but he upsets the neighbours with his howling, what am I supposed to do armour plate all me cables?!

I don't really notice the difference with the web 'cause I am restricted to 1 gig a month so I can down load just enough to keep my security updated so that I don't become somebody elses zombie computer!

Jenson didn't do anything wild in the afternoon, he set some consistent laps but they were relatively slow compared with MS, KR and FA. Rubinho didn't get any better either, we can only hope they were practicing heavy.
Jarno was fastest! would you believe :?:

Adios amigos

RB i think is a decent safe driver ......nothing more nothing less so for a team like honda to take him on was not a good move. like DC he would be of more benefit to a more middle placing team trying for points. As for button he promises lots and delievers little his or cars fault hard to know until he gets a fast partner to really push him

Schumacher and the rumour of renault wanting him to replace alonso ????

would love to see it huge fan of schumacher when he won his 2 titles (but not with ferrari) with benotton one more title with team that started it all for him befor he retires would be good

Hi Irishsnake
It's fair comment I guess about Rubinho and David but Jenson takes to much stick considering he has dispached all he's team mates apart from Giancarlo but that had a lot to do with him not being comfortable with the car, the team and the management. I reckon once Honda sort the car we'll see a really competitive and complete driver in Jenson. He has delivered in the past and will deliver in the future. Maybe he isn't a Fernando just yet but I think the Renault is an awesome vehicle that allows him to express himself with absolute freedom. Something Jense hasn't had but may well do soon. They reckon they have made progress with the tyre problem and Imola has always been good for Jense and Honda.

They were but did they really get a significant advantage from their fuel cell irregularities? Some say not. They were off the pace when they returned but they were handicapped by a one month lay off in competition, and the car was recalcitrant(?) a lemon any way. I think Honda are in a good position, new engine and only Fisi to contend with. Fernando will have one eye on the championship and points finishes, just like last year

This is not the answer Julian, we can't just go around erasing all the living organisms that don't fit with our environment. We must adapt so that all may survive

Just mistakenly read a news piece about Rubens struggling etc. etc. was thinking - yeah, I agree, he's got to improve next race - and guess what - the article was written before Melbourne! Ooops. I thought Rubens was a big mistake for the team when he signed. I just couldn't see what he could bring, unless the thinking was to have someone to protect JB's rear like he did for Schuie. And yeah, like a previous poster commented - I could see him more in the mid-field doing a DC, rather than in an 'A' Car. Overall he's, a bit of a disaster so...

He's had his three races, and he aint done much - apart from moan about the brake etc. So who was it exactly who confidently (and hopefully) predicted the Brazillian would wipe the Rd with JB. Cos I feel that it's about time us Jense supporters were allowed to gloat...just a little bit. Can we...please!

Still, hoping the new Honda parts and Barricello's 'new foot', will make the grade on Sunday, and that he'll give Jense a run for his money, but it's looking like Alonso all the way again, regardless.

Rubinho is still a useful member of the team, even though he struggles with left foot breaking. He has spent five seasons with a winning team, and knows how he himself won and how Schuey won GP's and championships. Honda wanted that insight and knowledge. It is only a question of time before his input pays off. Perhaps they will compromise and give him a car suited to his style of driving. I think they are resisting that because they want as much crossover on car setup as they can. It might also be a cost cutting exercise, whatever it's not working so they'll have to do something about it. However it is technical not driver related that is until Rubinho's confidence is totally eroded.

I don't share you optimism. Of course I'd love RB to be up there to protect JB's backside and hope again that he'll manage something special, but I still can't see it. San Marino he was loads better, granted, so I'm hoping for a real show of strength this weekend. Hoping a lot more for another great pole from Button and his first win. It can't be that far away now, surely?
