Some how Alonso takes Kovalainen as he takes Raikkonen. It was off the screen. Great stuff!

Bourdais has Alonso, Kovalainen and Raikkonen right behind him.

Bourdais is 4th!

Barrichello gets a 10 second penalty and is back in 8th

Kovalainen now attacking Alonso who appears to be struggling with his tyres.

Hard luck to Bourdais He retires with just 2 laps to go! He was 4th

Really impressive performance from the Frenchman on his debut.

Bourdais will actually score a point!

Kovalainen takes Alonso but then Alonso takes Kovalainen on the main straight. Looked like a missed gear for Kovalainen

What a strange race. I don't blame the removal of the driving aids for the high attrition rate. Most of it was poor driving or mechanical problems.

Driver of the day for me will be Hamilton. Although TV coverage didn't show much of him he seemed to drive in such a manner that keeped him out of trouble.

:1st:

Heikki, so unlucky with that bloomin' pace car. :unfair: :(

Ferrari will want to forget that race in a hurry . . . :oops2:

Well done Nick :party11:
Well done Nico and Williams :party7:

What attrition :axe:

Now that is more like what I imagined... Very sorry for Ferrari and all those that retired though. Good showing for Alonso.

Hope there are more cars for next finish :)[/img]

A good day to be out in front, Lewis was definitely 'master and commander' and deserved the win.

Drive of the day for me was Heiki, running comfortably behind Lewis, holding off Kimi, then nailing Alonso, however losing the place by accidentally hitting the pit lane speed limiter while ripping a visor off is not something you would want to do twice.

Kimi  those two mistakes at turn three were not the moves of a world champion, or were they, maybe thats just Kimi?

Will be interesting to see how Ferrari react to a weekend like that.

Pleased for Seb B, who seemed to be having a lamentably unspectacular weekend until he somehow popped up in fourth, though he is still going to have to perform better against Seb V.

Nelson Piquet was disappointing all weekend.

Good to see the BMWs up front, but what happened to Kubica.

Too chaotic to read too much into the year other than Maccas are looking very strong.

cheers,
Cam

Driver of the day: Lewis Hamilton 8)
Move of the day: Heikki on Fernando :D
Foul up of the day is a tie between: Felipe's over zealous right foot on exit turn one, Felipe's attempt to mount DC, Kimi out breaking himself and Heikki, Heikki on himself down the pit straight with the limiter on after move of the day!
Misfortune of the day: [another tie] Kubica getting the bums rush, Kovi getting pace carred by the crash of the day.
Crash of the day: Glock taking Kubica's qualifying line
Dissappointing drive of the day: Nelson Piquet
Dogged drive of the day: Seabass
Mobile chicane of the day and immovable object of the day goes to Rubens :bath:
