What is your definition of "a truly great driver" ?
And when a driver gets results in car that shouldn't, what would they become ?

I wouldnt have thought "truly great" was really so difficult to comprehend, as I have
already said in this thread, I wouldn't rate any driver any higher than that. Not MS, not anyone.
So when he does eventually get results in a car that he shouldnt, he will still be merely "truly great"
The original point I was trying to make can perhaps be captured by a question like "How would FA have gone in last years Ferrari, last years Mclaren, last years Williams" that sort of thing. If he was in last years Mclaren, would he have broken it as often as Kimi did? These are questions FA's career will eventually answer, because he wont be sitting in the best car every year.
Thanks for answering my question about truly great. I am not sure if I understand your logic because it sounds to me like this:
X is a truly great driver but X has yet to prove his ability in winning in a car that shouldn't and then he will still be truly great !!
But it is an explanation nonetheless!
Really though, if you haven't really appreciated what Alonso has already done in the 03 and 04 Renaults, you'll see what Alonso will do in the McLaren next year! (And I do hope he doesn't dominate because of his car

)

As for one-dimensional JayVee, it refers to your monotony, do the stats on "MS and his dirty tactics" barely a post of yours goes without it, often several times. As for petty, your response to F1greyhound serves my point, you pick apart his error about last years results but miss a far more serious (IMHO) error regarding 1994.
And does replying "Like your posts", to F1greyhounds comment "This is tiring" fall within your charter of www etiqutte? I know I've been rude but I'm not claiming the moral high ground here.
I have over 2500 posts (I am sure you've noticed) so please do the stats on my supposedly repititive posts on your driver. You'll probably find that the rate of your posts praising your driver are higher
Funny how correcting a statement is considered "picking apart". The statement by F1greyhound not only made an error but ridiculed the results
of two drivers who pretty much had the same result as your driver.
The 94 issue I don't really like to discuss (I think history would have been very different without that accident in 94 )
Anyway, am I supposed to reply to someone based on what you think ????? If you thought F1greyhound's post had a far more serious error, why didn't you respond ? Or you let it go because he also favours your driver ?
Now as for the etiquite, I am no angel but I have never initiated a rude comment to anyone. I will however reply to someone who accuses me of something with whatever comment I see fit. In the case of F1greyhound, I simply replied back with the same
And I have already explained why I thought you 'barged' into this discussion.
