Management Changes at Ferrari

Yes I too have sensed a change at Ferrari regarding the team orders situation. That can only be good for the sport.

Lets hope it lasts!

As a "senior" team they should be setting an example

Ferrari built a not-so-perfect reputation (thanks to Schumi mostly) but that doesn't mean they are bunch of crooks. If it proves to be true and they fight fair it's cool. In my opinion, anything people do in the way of making the sport better deserves acknowledgment.

If one of the Ferrari drivers gets a jump in the points over the other in the first five races, what are the odds that Ferrari will revert back to the way things were.

not sure kimi is going to be to pleased with that sort of came, even though he is new he must be considered by some in the team as the replacement number one driver

The car numbers may be the other way round but as far as reputation goes Kimi will be the #1 driver in Ferrari. Especially if he manages to outpace Massa in the first few races. We will also get a chance to see how well he looks after his car. Was it McLaren's reliability to blame or Kimi's style? I remember Massa being criticized of being too hard on his brakes but that did not seem to be a problem anymore after he switched to Ferrari.

Well, last year his was a support role at best. This time he has a chance to shine and I think he'll do his best to prove himself. However that all depends on how the first few races develop. If Kimi darts 20 points ahead early on Massa might just drop back to his backup role and suck it up.

if that happens my fear is that his role then becomes exactly like it did last year as you said and the prancing horse suffers the critisism of yester year,
the teams to watch this season are any with the rbr on the side or an affilation, this could be a huge year for them

RBR will have the Renault engine, with DC and Webber; good chance for em to shine. STR on the other hand has shown time and again that they can do good things given the chance. They are stuck with the Ferrari engine and a customer team supplied with a Ferrari engine has yet to win a race. Not a very good mark for Ferrari by any means. Still STR is way ahead of Minardi and they should soon start fighting their way up into the middle ranks.

That is, if Kimi shoots ahead in the standings after 3-4 races, Massa will back him up a la Barrichello-Schumi...
