They have an untapped potential. The problem seems to be the lack of spirit. They need a feisty driver to add more wood to their dying fire...JayVee wrote:Toyota remind me of Honda/BAR a few years ago .....

It's a job and a nice paycheck. And they don't even have to win. I could do that.jacfan wrote:Ahhhhhh Ralf and Jarno look so thrilled to be there.... Not!!!![]()

Keeping real drivers out of seats=justifiable homicide

But really i don't know about toyota in 2007, they look very strong and they build car in new concept, they throw the TF106 away and start new one, which mean they back 2 years behind.
I predict toyota will have a win in the first 5 races, if not they will not make it this year. but i can see them regular point scorer and podium visitor.
For Ralf, give him a competative car and see him racing.

Regardless of how reasonable your arguments are, in the end it is up to the drivers to perform on the track. On one hand we have Toyota, supposedly strong engine, aiming for a few wins and maybe even a championship. On the other hand we have Honda, and the unassuming BMW both finishing higher up in the standings... We just want Trulli and Ralfie show more enthusiasm and get more than a single podium throughout an entire season. The management offers them good contracts, relative job security and a good car (maybe not great but good nonetheless). It'd be nice to see them getting more competitive.Ed wrote:Guys that is a bit harsh!
They have contracts and it is up to the team's management to make the driver work hard on acheiving the targets or not.
If it is anyone, it should be the team's management that should be criticised.
And we don't want to promote that kind of action on these forums, do we ?

Very reasonable and if they don't then terminate their contract.gkaytaz wrote:Regardless of how reasonable your arguments are, in the end it is up to the drivers to perform on the track. But what was suggested to be done to them was a bit harsh.
