Full Minardi press release - Red Bull statementFrom a purely personal standpoint, I am going to be very sad to leave this Paddock and the sport I love. I have always said, however, that I would consider selling the team if a serious potential buyer could meet certain key conditions.
Specifically, I wanted to be convinced of the following:
(1) there was sufficient personal commitment and commercial backing in place to move the team to a level of competitiveness that I could not;
(2) the team would continue to be based in Italy; and
(3) the majority of team personnel would have a stable future. After detailed discussions with Dr Mateschitz?s representatives, I am satisfied that Red Bull meets all of these criteria, and on that basis, I have agreed to sell the team.

I wonder if Ecclestone convinced Matisich (spelling?) to buy Minardi and get Stoddart out of F1 !!
Anyway, I don't like the idea of a company owning two teams. Surely there is a much bigger chance of the 2 teams "working" with each other. Add to that the alliance between Ferrari and Red Bull, we could have 5 cars helping Michael next year or will they be helping Massa
I know it is an exaggeration but you get the point ?

So will we see one team RBR-FERRARI-MICHELIN and another RBR-COSWORTH-BRIDGESTONE?
What a mess if they exchange their data even if I would expect an identical chassis..........
Re.this s@#$ about helping FERRARI, the red team must have really received substantial help this year to end up where they are now.
