Pleasant Comments

Steady on there, this thread is not even one page old and already I'm sensing undercurrents of unpleasantness. Is it possible to make a negative comment pleasant? mmmm I dunno... You also have to consider if the pleasant comment you make has any unpleasant ramifications for anyone related to the subject, e.g. team mates, or title contenders.
As for James Allen... best avoided in the pleasant thread I'd say, let's just wish him well for new season and pray for him. Your really lucky that you get you a change of commentator every once in a while, that sounds really pleasant to me over here in blighty.
Come on JayVee you can say something nice about Michael, I know you can. You seem like a strong character, draw on strength and grit your teeth, you might say how comical it was that he was waring his brothers Toyota uniform on a piss-up after he won his seventh title, or maybe that it's funny that he named his dogs Ecclestone and Mosely, or maybe you like the way he bends his cap, I know you can do it, come on just try.
Isn't Alonsos hair lovely? and it's so nice and convenient that his teams colours match those of his home province Ahhhhhh isn't that nice now.

I''m feeling very pleased with this thread
I read a preview of the season today that listed all the circuits with pie charts showing winners of that particular GP who are currently driving and I couldn't help noticing just how many GP's Michael has won over and over again!
It really is quite a staggering record, especially when expressed as a pie chart!
I hope Jenson is getting enough rest

Murray Walker has returned to F1 racing at the age of 82!
He has been employed by Honda as their VIP Ambassador
Here is part of their press release.
'For 2006, the Honda Racing F1 Team asked 82 year old Murray if he would like to join the team and make a return to the sport he adores in the unique role of team ambassador. As a fully integrated member of the team, he will provide Honda?s VIP guests with an insight into the team?s progress and entertain them with his inimitable brand of F1 commentary. The much loved star will attend half of the season?s 18 Grands Prix and will make his debut in Honda Racing F1 Team colours when the F1 circus returns to Europe in April.'
I think that's pretty remarkable

David Coultarh is quoted in the Guardian as saying

That's either sad or not depending on your point of view but it does say a lot about his commitment to Mclaren doesn't it?Nine years with Mclaren? that's longer than any of my relationships have lasted.

No I can't K. To me it is a matter of principle. And as this is the pleasant thread and respect to Snowy, I shall say it again, to be pleasant to Michael is not to say anything at all.K wrote:Come on JayVee you can say something nice about Michael, I know you can
You have a nice day

I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!
Eddie Irvine says "The fact that Jenson hasn't won a race has got nothing to do with him. He's never had a car that was capable of winning" he adds "The fact that you've never won a race means damn all, because if you've never had the car, you've never had the chance."
Coming from Eddie that is pretty amazing sense don't you think?
