The Motoring Journo Joe Saward reckons that because Ferrari is cash strapped, they have hired Massa AND Schuey will be in a Mclaren-Mercedes next year , because cost- cutting of the sort ferrari is going to have to do doesn't work in F1 and among other things, Mercedes want him there to promote the product (from an article in "Motorsort News")

Schumey in a maclaren next year? - r u predicting a schumey/kimi switch for 2006? i don't know how feasible that would be for ferrari.. maclaren want kimi, kimi would want to get paid close to what schumey is now, and schumey probably wouldnt want to leave ferrari?
i never heard they were cash strapped... maybe its all that useful testing they've been doing over summer to get back to speed

WHOA!!!! get way back. come in behind. sit. I quoted one of the most respected motor racing journalists there is. IMHO.( reading his history is a bit of an eye opener, actually)
It is a well known fact that the parent company, FIAT, is feeling the pinch.
When a parent company starts to listen to accountants, one of the first things to get the short back and sides is the motor racing arm EG Ford & JaguarF1.

I read that, as well. Both grandprix.com and autoracing1.com mentioned it, so I'd watch and wait. In a sense, it's exactly what Dan should do....he's won the Indy 500, he's clinched an IndyCar-title, so what else is there here in the States' for him to do? If he gets the shot...he should take it.

i guess schu's reign is over. it would be bad to retire a loser... well... i guess he will try harder next yr.. but as ppl age.. their agility decreases...Julian Mayo wrote:WHY?JayVee wrote:Too late for thatJulian Mayo wrote:I think Schuey wants to retire a winner, and he will choose the best seat available to do that
i dont think he can do any better next yr though he tries..

My memory is fading, but how many F1 champions retired when immediately after they won???stiffpaper wrote:i guess schu's reign is over. it would be bad to retire a loser... well... i guess he will try harder next yr.. but as ppl age.. their agility decreases...Julian Mayo wrote:WHY?JayVee wrote:

Cos after u win the championship, one feels he has the spark to get one more...N thats human..
Most champions retire after losing..i think Michael's had his share of success..so i dont think so he'll be disappointed
