Lap 5 and the gap between Montoya and Alonso is 2.4 seconds. Alonso just set the fastest lap of the race so far with a 1:22.740.

Raikkonen is still in 11th right behind Villeneuve!

Button in 3rd is dropping behind. He is 8.9 seconds behind Montoya!

There is a train of cars behind Button actually!
Sato is 1.4 seconds behind then Barrichello, Trulli, M Schumacher, and Fisichella are very very close!

Another fastest lap from Alonso. A 1:22.685.

Raikkonen is now 18 seconds behind Montoya! Lapping more than 1.5 seconds slower per lap!

Alonso responds with a 1:22.476 and the gap is back to 2.2 seconds!

The question is how much fuel does Alonso have on board!
