And only manages 6th with a 1:21.141 after a slow 3rd sector!

He makes a mistake going wide on the last turn!

So Michael Schumacher grabs his first pole position of the season, a massive 0.9 seconds ahead of Montoya with Trulli in 3rd.
Kimi Raikkonen is 4th ahead of Ralf Schumacher, Fernando Alonso, Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button

On the second row is Jarno Trulli and Kimi Raikkonen

Both had impressive laps however it remains to be seen how much fuel they have on board

On the 3rd row is Ralf Schumacher and Fernando Alonso.

Alonso made a mistake on the final turn going wide and lost a lot of time

The pace of Michael Schumacher was a surprise to everyone. There is a lot of speculation that he is on a light fuel load but that remains to be seen. It could also be that the Ferrari is suited to this track.
In Germany the Bridgestones on both Ferraris didn't work well in the race however Michael indicated that he isn't concerned about the tyres here!
