My hypothesis is that the floor rises, accelerating, at an angle to meet the barstool and its occupant. Which is why I always drink standing up, with shoulder blades in close proximity to wall. Thus when the unruly floor begins its intoxicated antics one may slide gently and gracefully to a sitting position where further study of the bottom of ones alcohol recepticle may take place with minimum disruption, and maximum safety,with an often enhanced view. Well said. Under normal circumstances you cannot fall off the floor. :)
