Fernando Alonso wins the British Grand Prix in impressive form. Alonso was almost unchallenged for the whole race and led the race from start to finish apart from 1 lap at the second pit stops. He put his car on Pole despite having more fuel than his 2 closest competitors. 3 wins in a row and it seems that only reliability can stop him from winning his second title.
Michael Schumacher wasn't as fast as Alonso at Silverstone but still managed to minimise the point loss to Alonso by executing a good strategy and passing Raikkonen via the pits. He needs to finish ahead of Alonso in the coming races to have some chance of catching him in the title race.
Kimi Raikkonen lost second place in the pits. He did appear to struggle with his car and was caught by Fisichella towards the end of the race. Still a good drive and it seems that McLaren are improving and closing the gap to Ferrari and Renault.
Giancarlo Fisichella made up 1 place by passing Felipe Massa via the pits but the pace of his team-mate shows that he isn't getting the best out of the car. His 4th place finish helped the team increase the lead in the championship though.
Felipe Massa had a reasonable race but unlike his team-mate who made up 1 place, dropped a place to finish 5th despite being on very similar strategies.
Juan Pablo Montoya finished 6th making up a couple of places while the 2 BMW Saubers made up the top 8 which is a very good result for the team.

Only Jenson Button retired due to a technical failure while Ralf Schumacher, Mark Webber and Scott Speed all retired when Speed tried to pass Ralf Schumacher spinning him with Ralf driving in the path of Mark Webber.
