Montiero takes 5th with a 1:30.710. Nearly 2 seconds slower than his best this morning!

Alonso is fastest is the 1st sector and in the second sector.

He takes provisional pole with a 1:27.050. 4 tenths slower than his fastest this morning!

We've had more incidents this qualifying session that we've had in the past! 3 cars haven't set lap times!
Doornbos had smoke and flames coming out of the back of his car, Villeneuve spun and stalled and Karthikeyan didn't do a qualifying lap as he had an engine change!

But he takes provisional pole with a 1:27.039. Stunning!
His time is actually faster than his best time from the morning!

Sato reasonably fast in the 1st sector but goes wide in the second and ruins his lap.

He takes 8th with a 1:30.175
