When I looked at the Manufacturer's Points the other day, I was astonished to see how far Williams had sunk!!

But come on, isn't there more than poetic justice in Jensen's fate with the Honda Wallahs? Isn't it true that Rubens has put paid to rumors of the British lad's greatness and potential?

And who can feel bad about Jarno Trulli's demonstrating to the wooden headed Toyota chiefs the terrific waste of millions of Yen to support Ralphie's crying habits?

Here's my humble (there's that strangely inappropriate word again) suggestion for 8 ways --in the points-- of fixing things:


1. convince Michael to race next year partnered with Kimi (and no team orders)
2. match Fernando at McLaren with Mark Webber -- and send Ron Dennis some re-badged Renault engines (he can call them Mercs or he can call them Jerks; just so they can move his chassis at race speed!)
3. send Nico Rosberg to race with Fisi at Renault
4. match Ralphie with Takuma at Super Aguri
5. move Felipe to Toyota to race with Jarno Trulli
6. Find Frank Williams a supply of Renault engines and send him Davy Coulthard and Ant. Davidson to drive his cars
7. slap Jensen Button a ten year, no escape, sentence with Honda; partner him with Juan Pablo Montoya
8. put Scott Speed and Heikki Kovalainen behind the wheels of the brand new Red Bulls (powered by Toyota blocks?)

Or. You could just get VERY Rad and ban front and rear wings. Period. then you might see more overtaking via the sling shot effect on long straights.

Anyway, I AM GOING to PICK the blue cars to sweep at Magny Cours. so all you F.A. fans are properly warned.

You should be happy with a red 1-2. Sadly though, like last year, this will be the only 1-2 for them this season :wink:

Clearly the Bridgestones were superior but that was because Michelin were conservative. In France the Bridgestone runners would have no chance.

I like your points but I would rather not see Michael next year, F1 has had enough of him and his tactics.

My preferred lineup would be:
Alonso Raikkonen @ McLaren
Fisichella Kovalainen @ Renault
Coulthard Massa @ Ferrari :shock: :shock:
Barrichello Davidson @ Honda
Trulli Montoya @ Toyota
Villeneuve Heidfeld @ BMW
Webber Liuzzi @ Red Bull
Sato Ralf @ Super Aguri (I like that one Jim :D )

I, on the other hand, believe Alonso is coming with the engine to McLaren. This will probably be the only scenario that will allow them to retain Raikkonen whom I don't see returning to Woking next year otherwise.

I believe Ron Dennis will land on his feet quicker because he is more loyal to his drivers. He doesn't seem to be as arrogant as Sir Frank and Co. Williams has so many issues and hangups, I can see the team being bought out by let's say Toyota within the next three years.

Oooh, I just thought of something. There is a rumour that Volkswagen wants to get into a major racing series. What if Audi bought Williams and bolted the LeMans winning engine in the back of the Williams. Very interesting...BUT SHTUPID!!

Yes Williams have squandered many good drivers . They don't appear to value the talent that they have on their team and then consequently lose them. I have also heard that VW wanted in but not sure that it will happen.

With the new Tech regs coming in to play, expect to see the engine mnfctrs, eg, Toyota, Renault et al., knocking on the doors of RedBull etc, or lose a lot of expertise to the Aeronautical, yachting etc industries 8)

Vee dub may get into F1, but it will probably be in a couple of years supplying engines to Red Bull. They have strong links in other series. Vee dub wont get in for a couple of years as they have just retrenched a couple thousand workers to turn the company around.

Me thinks that next year Red bull / Torro Rosso will be Ferrari/Cosworth (not in that order). They are just stirring things up to get a better deal out of Ferrari. Red Bull are in a two year contract with Ferrari and they still have next year to go.

Who knows what Renault will do. I rekon they will be selling engines and old chassis to Pro-Drive next year.

Also of interest is a possible merger of Renault and GM. This could benefit both brands a lot and we could see the Renault car turned into a Chevy, Pontiac or Cadi for the US races. You can't tell me that wouldn't apeal to the septics.

Webber wont go anywhere. He still ahs to prove himself to step up to a better drive and he hasn't had the chance. Who knows how Williams will go next year. There is something not right with the team and if it is not fixe they will continue to slump.
Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

The mail is that Red Bull can step out of the ferrari contract any time they like as the engines Ferrari supply them are any where from 50 -500 revs down every time, compared to the units in the Ferrari cars.

You are absolutely right!! Maybe, Williams will have Toyota power next year. Webber probably could go after a ride at Toyota for next year, but who knows how good that team will be? Last year, they were telegraphing that they would be knocking on the door of winning a few races today.

~~The seemingly jinxed season Rahal-Letterman Racing had at times last year's returned, with everything that has happened to them this year, starting back at Homestead. Ironically, while Patrick's struggled on the ovals more this year, she's actually done a lot better on the non-ovals than she did last year.
Results}Homestead-16th(DNS), St. Pete-6th, Motegi-8th, Indy-8th(top Panoz driver), Watkins Glen-8th, Texas-12th(first race using Dallara chassis), Richmond-15th and Kansas-11th; currently 12th in points

~~Katherine's had a pretty interesting rookie campaign; with three top-10's and is currently 13th in points(2nd in the rookie stdgs., just behind Dan Clarke). Surprisingly, her best result was on the 1-mile oval in Milwaukee, where she led 12 laps and finished 6th.
Results}Long Beach-8th, Houston-14th, Monterrey-14th, Milwaukee-6th(higest finishing rookie), Portland-13th, Cleveland-8th; currently 13th in points(2nd in rookie stdgs.)
