With most of the talk in NA motorsports centering around all the merger talks btwn. ChampCar and the IRL this year, everyone's biding their time. The one name, though, that everyone keeps mentioning as to possibly being in the hunt for an F1 ride in 2007 from NA is the current ChampCar series champion, Sebastien Bourdais. He's won two consecutive titles(2004, 2005) and has made some noise about wanting to try for a seat in F1 next year, especially if he can win an unprecedented third cons. title(and that hasn't occurred here since 1948!). Other than him, it has been awfully quiet over here in regards to anyone in NA motorsports throwing their name into the F1 arena.
Thanks mliitle,
How is Danica doing these days ? How is Katherine going ?
2-part posting, JayVee....
~~The seemingly jinxed season Rahal-Letterman Racing had at times last year's returned, with everything that has happened to them this year, starting back at Homestead. Ironically, while Patrick's struggled on the ovals more this year, she's actually done a lot better on the non-ovals than she did last year.
Results}Homestead-16th(DNS), St. Pete-6th, Motegi-8th, Indy-8th(top Panoz driver), Watkins Glen-8th, Texas-12th(first race using Dallara chassis), Richmond-15th and Kansas-11th; currently 12th in points
~~Katherine's had a pretty interesting rookie campaign; with three top-10's and is currently 13th in points(2nd in the rookie stdgs., just behind Dan Clarke). Surprisingly, her best result was on the 1-mile oval in Milwaukee, where she led 12 laps and finished 6th.
Results}Long Beach-8th, Houston-14th, Monterrey-14th, Milwaukee-6th(higest finishing rookie), Portland-13th, Cleveland-8th; currently 13th in points(2nd in rookie stdgs.)
Hope this answers your question, JayVee.
