Newey looks pleased... Webber happy... what more do we want at this stage? I would be backing Newey to come up with something exciting that will be competitive.

Fingers crossed. :)

I believe, and this is just my opinion, that Newey is one of the best out there and can certainly make a difference. I also believe that Mark is not only very talented but very highly regarded by most of the paddock.
If the car is up to the task - reliable... fast - then I see no problem for Mark to be in the points and maybe even challenging for the top 3. As I stated though this is just my opinion and you don't have to :shotgun: :shock2: if you disagree.... which I am sure many of you will.

Don't worry jacfan, I won't shoot down anyones opinions and believe no one should. I don't mind having seeing opinions questioned but not shot down. I enjoy reading as many different opinions as possible. :D

Last year I almost walked away from this site with some of the negative posts that some people made.

Or has Piquet Jr reserved that place already :?:
I suspect Fisi may be out of a job by August, Webber has said he will go where Flavio tells him to go......do I sense a healthy debate brewing??
Are you then predicting Webber may be driving for Renault before the end of the season ?

If he impresses in the Red Bull (he should) and if Fisichella stuffs up a few races (he could and maybe would) then it could happen and then Webber will be in a top car - finally. It is entirely possible :D

Julian Mayo wrote:The camber set up on the RB is typical Newey.....are they the biggest intakes we have seen yet?........hmmm..........run bigger intakes........lower viscosity oil......less density against moving bits........faster compression cycle........hmmm.......but then again it took me 2 hours just to change the sump on Therapy via detachment of various steering thingys etc :?
I think the intakes are the same as the ones on the McLaren. No surprise really

Newey is one of the best out there but sometimes he goes overboard. I recall the McLaren that never raced or did it race once.

But I hope that this one is a good car that gives Webber a real chance to shine!

I for one would love to see Webber get his chance to show us all what he can do. :drive: Beep beep... move over Alonso... :drive:

It is not exactly a do or die kinda deal for Webber but I agree with you. If he does good he'll end up driving for Renault for sure. Unless Fisi wins the WDC title of course... But I do not see it happen.

Newey will be taking some risks and he has enough credit to do so. He'll make RBR more competitive I think. Competitive enough to get the 6th spot or maybe even 5th if BMW chokes.

Maybe not just yet. But that could happen in a year if MW moves to Renault racing against Fernando in the McLaren...

IMHO the Red Bull is going to be a quick and reliable team this season. With the engine freeze, the Newey tweaked chassis and DC & MW, they are shaping as a podium finisher.
