The Red Bull Racing RB3

The Red Bull Racing team unveiled the RB3 at the Catalunya track on Friday.

Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey said:

It’s always an emotional moment seeing a new car roll out of the garage for the first time, especially when it is your first car for a new team. It means this car is a totally new product and not something that has evolved out of the previous year’s car which is normally the case. There was a feeling of trepidation and nerves and, although it is a cliché, it is a bit like the birth of a new baby. It’s great to see the new car running. Today has been about getting the car out on track and the fact we have managed that is a real tribute to everyone back at the factory. I have to admit that privately, back in November, I didn’t think we would make this date. I am very happy that all the hard work of all the engineers, the manufacturing staff and everyone back at base has proved me wrong. It has involved a lot of hard work, a lot of late nights, a lot of weekend work and it really is an outstanding effort.

I think they will finish 7th this year. In my opinion Coulthard is past his use by date and both him and Webber will be fighting for minor points.

I have a feeling Webbo may demoralise DC.
This will be DC's last year,IMHO.

I think they will only score a podium if a few up front retire.

Webber could and should easily beat Coulthard if he can be consistent.

Coulthard is one of the most consistent drivers out there, not super fast yes but consistent.

Oh and I don't think anything can demoralise Coulthard. Don't forget that he was blown away by Hakkinen and Raikkonen but he is still there. I think to him it is just a job that is earning him some good money and he is delivering above average results otherwise why is he still in F1?. He always finishes 5th or 6th whether he drives a McLaren or a Red Bull. Maybe it is in his contract

He goes into the season,knowing he has a only a 1 year contract.
Unless that puts the fire back into him, Webber will,IMHO, out qualify him, and out- point him over the season.
If that happens the team management will, I think, look for a youngster to match or beat Webber in the season they expect to challenge the top runners on a consistant basis.
All of which is conjecture based on guesswork, of course,

That's basically what Newey said,...it incorporates some of the ideas he was working on at Mclaren,and some completely new ideas. There is nothing of last years model in the car.
If the mirrors are off Schuey's car, they will be unused

Joke aside I think they will improve quite a bit but not enough to score more than a couple of podiums at best.

DC is a consistent 8th place driver. Occasional higher place finishes perhaps. One thing he does well, I admit, is that whenever he sees an opportunity he grabs it (in terms of F1, can't vouch for his life outside the paddock). And hangs on to it.

Webber is good and faster than DC but not fast enough to get very high up.

There is some nasty chat that RB will be looked upon favourably, in any contentious issues throughout the season.
My personal view is that this is being disseminated by other teams concerned that STR's car will be too close to RB's, designed to put the Stewards on notice.
