Wheldon, Kanaan and Carpenter tried going 3-wide into turn one, but Wheldon backed off before the turn

Caution's out.................race control reporting the #6 of Ryan Briscoe crashed in turn 2; there's rear wing/end damage..........his race is done.

Most all the teams are making their first round of stops.........
Franchitti first out, followed by Dixon

However, the AGR cars of Hideki Mutoh and Danica Patrick elected to stay out and are currently 1st-2nd; AGR is playing a split strategy, keeping Mutoh and Patrick out while pitting Kanaan and Marco :shock:
