Because with Williams and a few of the old names apart from Ferrari it does sound good. Though of course it would sound hollow
If there is a split, it will be intersting to see which way the US entry goes, which I guess will depend as much on sponsorship contractual obligations as anything else.

True; if the sponsor(s) tell them, "Race in F1" or "Race here", etc., then unless they want to lose the sponsor or sponsors, that's where they'll go. There's also the possibility that some of the privateer teams(Williams, Force India, etc.) might chuck the whole of F1 and race sportscars or Indycars(wouldn't that be interesting to see Sir Frank at the Brickyard........)

I would assume they are committed to F1 (Max, FIA) Or their application may be just that, and untill they sign up they could change course.
if it were me and I had the choice I would go with the Manufacturers
Maybe, perhaps, not sure

Yup, they and Dorna are the two with the set-up already in place.
F1 and MotoGp competing at the same tracks, at the same weekend.
Now that is a thought....................... 8)

Hhhmmm, run the MotoGp on the Saturday.................after F1 Qualifying............FOTA>>are you listening..................
It wouldn't be called F1 , it would have to be something else because Bernie has ownership of that name :x
They cannot stop ME or YOU from calling it F1..............
Well this is the kind of thinking that we need FOTA to be doing. But so far it seems they are not doing any thinking.

If a breakaway series really occurred that would be a miracle and a sign of strength and intelligence on part of FOTA and any other team that joins it. But I dont think they have neither the guts nor intelligence to execute this. I hope im wrong.
I for one would not call Ross Brawn, Horner etc stupid or gutless.
These guys put their money where their mouths are, every time one of their cars take to the track. 8)
Oh I agree 100% about Ross Brawn and number of other people in FOTA. But I am not seeing any real progress from them at the moment. Which is extremely disappointing considering I can without much effort think of at least 4 very strong subjects onto which Mosley's governance can be questioned in court. Considering the teams have all the evidence from the past 10 years, that is what the teams should be concentrating on. The court will then give them immunity from time constraints until the matter is resolved.

Max knew exactly what is going to happen in front, and is why he quickly patched up (with his rich friends) number of other teams to join. Where in reality it takes 3-4 years to properly organize a new F1 team like USF1 have done. Max obviously doesn't care about humiliation since it cant get any worse for him than last year.

As a member of "Stop The Abuse of Brakes" or STAB I do agree that there may be limited occasions when some sensitive punishment may be applied 8)

The HOT rumour from Silverstone is that FOTA have IMG on board to help organise things.
IMG has run the Surfers Paradise race, has serious connections to NASCAR, and has people who have been heavily involved in F1.
Hhhhmmmmmm....They also have Danica Patrick under contract.
As reported on another site, there is no official confirmation as yet, that Mad Max is changing the name of F1 to F-ALL.

Max is now getting desperate; he is begging for support for his re-election :ROTFLMAO:

I have not heard anything about IMG but im glad FOTA are moving forward with the plans. Its time to stop this ridiculous game with old men and move on - its just like getting divorced and finding someone new - there are risks involved and pain but you must move on. The end.
