America wins the 2007 Davis Cup
Just happened to be scanning some of the sports items on the Internets....and found, after reading about Navy's 38-3 shellacking(.....
......) of Army in this year's Army-Navy football game, another item of interest; it seems the United States finally, after 12 years of abject frustration, won tennis' version of the World Cup, the Davis Cup, after today's doubles match, in which Yanks' Bob and Mike Bryan beat the Russians' 7-6[7-4], 6-4, 6-2, giving the USA an unassailable 3-0 lead with two singles' matches remaining Sunday.
Drinks are on me over at the Idiots' Bar this weekend.............
