Ask him but if SF is unimpressed with a driver he wouldn't put them in the car for not one, not two but three races. That isn't the way SF operates and YOU know that

JV I wasn't being sarcastic or funny or anything else. Put it down to the WT  but I cannot see that SF has another option. Pizzi is on contract, gets paid a heck of a lot of money for sleeping in, the season is a write-off for Williams. I really cannot see another option :?

Hey that goes against your argument. Surely SF can get someone else to drive the car and give him a chance if Williams are writing off the season.

The only explanation is that SF regards Pizzonia highly, if he didn't why would he take him back as a test driver after his bad time at Jaguar ?

But this isn't going anywhere. Lets see what happens on the track in Brazil

Comments that I choose to ignore I put down to the WT. Those comments usually have nothing to do with the topic

Seriously Julian, if a team like Williams don't have a contingency plan to find a driver, that team would be in serious trouble.

What would happen if Webber or Pizzonia get a stomach bug or flu, don't tell me they would race with just 1 car

I really don't know, thats why I am asking fer crissakes
Is there a precedent? Given that one bad drive could ruin a prospective F1 career for someone, who would he take a chance on. Who out there has a superlicence, is available and fast/safe enough to put in the car? That sound is me tearing my hair out :compute:

JayVee,
With the rules as complicated as they are there is probably some obscure rule preventing someone else from taking over race driving duties. So Pizza Boy gets the drive.
Remember earlier in the year Red Bull had to get special permission to switch drivers?

Just another rule requiring some attention.
I'm in shape

Maybe there is but I think what happened with Red Bull was that Klien wasn't allowed to be the test driver. Not the other way.

As I said, it would be crazy for Williams not to have a contingency plan but the bottom line is that Frank wants Pizzonia in that seat

Well Jensen Button is certainly a modern thinking sensitive "new age" kind of guy.
In an interview with a reporter from a British "mens' magazine he stated that women will never make the grade in Formula One.
His reasoning ?........."their monthly cycles and breasts"
(Source F1I)
If Jensen is not single now I suspect he may be very soon.....and for a long time.
Personally I think JB is getting private tuition on every aspect of his life from Eddie Irvine
