Nothing to do with Formula 1.rah wrote:And Prodrive is a small racing outfit with no success.

Ok, Lewis may win the WDC in 07, but Sato will beat him in 08.

Ok he has been accepted to enter in 2008 (Methinks the politics is what got him in). Does that make him successful in F1, he hasn't proved anything in F1 yet apart from the failures?
When he sets up a successful team in F1, then you can remind us.

Could be politics, or just maybe its the fact that Prodrive are a proffesional ans succesful motor racing company.JayVee wrote:Ok he has been accepted to enter in 2008 (Methinks the politics is what got him in). Successful may take some time, and what does it mean? are Toyota successful? or Honda?
I am happy just reminding you of this for now.

You can remind me anytime but it doesn't prove me wrong. Success means winning races and eventually championships.
Neither Toyota nor Honda are success at the moment IMO but Honda as an engine supplier were.
But if Prodrive win a race in the first 3 years then I would be proven wrong, how is that

Lol, in the first three years!!! lmao now that is a totally unrealistic circumstance. Does that mean you will never consider Toyota or Honda (as a whole) as a success? even if they do win a championship?
Hang on I have one of my own: If prodrive do not win a championship in the next 25 years you can say I was wrong.

You are shifting the target here, I am talking about David Richards and not Prodrive.rah wrote:Lol, in the first three years!!! lmao now that is a totally unrealistic circumstance. Does that mean you will never consider Toyota or Honda (as a whole) as a success? even if they do win a championship?

Prodrive may win in 25 years but that isn't my concern. What I am saying is the David Richards has failed twice in F1 before as team manager and I doubt he'll succeed.
Now he could hand the management of the team to Flavio and then Prodrive would start winning races and championship far sooner than 25 years

I think both Toyota and Honda have had major management shuffles already.
If you think 3 years is too short, make it 5 years then, if David doesn't win by then he'd be gone. I know he owns the team but that doesn't mean that he can be successful at running the F1 operation.
Who knows, he may not even be involved in 2008. Do you know ?

I just think it is unlikely that a brand new team can win that soon. It is not as though they are buying a current team, they have to do everything from scratch. Look how long it took Toyota and they are yet to see a win.
And if Prodrive as they are reported try to go as an all brit affair it will take even longer.
But I stray, I believe your first prediction is that we will never see Richards in F1 again. Now the intention is there, we just have to wait for the 2008 regs to come out.
