The anti-spam bot system isn't as effective when it comes to the registrations but has so far managed to prevent them from posting and this is far more important. Having said that, I am always on the look out for improvements.

I am please to inform everyone that we have put in a measure that will stop all the automatic spammers (bots) from registering on our Forum. We won't see those weird names in the memberlist. I can say this with confidence

We still have to put in a measure that prevents those human spammers from registering and posting a link then never returning back but we are working on that and we are evaluating a number of options.

Actually let me ask you, if we place a restriction on posting links in posts from new members, how many 'normal' posts do you think would be enough before letting them post messages with a web link ?

5-10 posts should be enough, depending on how regularly they post on the forums
