Better than they did in qualifying yes but there is nothing to suggest they were better than the Bridgestones. On their outlaps the Bridgestones were still superior and that is crucial when it comes to pit stops and making/losing positions.

Damon Hill has cautioned Alonso not to take Michael's comment about losing the title seriously.

Of course it wasn't but in China just about a week ago I think he drove a very good race and managed to make the points despite being in a "bucket of bolts" but with "washers" it seems. Both races were after he announced he is leaving.

Just another case Julian of you bragging when Webber does well and finding any kind of excuse when he doesn't. That just raises people's ire (using your own words!!)

Perhaps Jenson was smart enough to realise that the Williams will be "bucket of bolts" this year. The writing was on the wall actually

Must admit when I finally got to see the race, I was not sure what the victory jump, leap... dance thing was all about.

Sigh,........ once more JayVee....... the @&%##*%#### post had nothing to do with Japan...so how the hell can you miscontrue it as to defending Webbers "off" in Japan

.I understand that the school holidays are wearing you down, ok!.....but I am still getting over other peoples major misfortunes, and I am simply not in the mood for petty crap. Next week I will probably be only too happy to accommmodate anyone who wants to initiate a "blue, "donnybrook" or whatever.

Amongst all those bolts and washers and nuts Williams made one good move: engine deal with Toyota. Considering the engine freeze the FW29 will start 2007 in a much better shape than the FW28 did with Cosworth in 2006. They probably still won't be shooting for the top three but at least recover from that pitiful 8th spot.

About miscontruing! When you say "after his decision to leave he had to do without washers", you are obviously implying that his off was not his fault. Saying that this statement has nothing to do with defending his off is absolute rubbish.

Anyway, I have two final things to say to you Julian,

First,

The last thing I would expect on this respected forum is that you go back and edit what you said after it has been replied to.

You have the mood to go and say that Button fought to the death his contract because of Webber (which is a load of crap) and you have the mood to manipulate and change what you previously posted but you are "still getting over other peoples major misfortunes".

How dare you change something that is being replied to ? I never thought you would resort to such antics and that you were above these sort of tricks.
This is pure hypocrisy and is not on Julian. (Oh and I am managing school holidays just fine thanks)

Try and cut Julian some slack. He has had to put up with me ringing him with all my problems as well as dealing with his own life. We all make mistakes/typos sometimes and to be able to go back and fix them is great. Wish I could do it sometimes.

Driver of the day was a hard decision. I ended up giving it to Alonso for staying cool and getting the job done. Fisi did a fantastic job just to even drive in the state of mind he was obviously in. You could see by his face that he did not give a rat's %#$@ about racing that weekend. You could feel his pain watching him trying to get through the interview and ceremony.

If you can understand that simple fact, which I doubt, then you might also understand I am simply not interested in becoming involved in your attempts to start another ridiculous fight..That is why I edited it.From my "privileged position", I am fully aware the edit would carry that line.
