Guys Michael is still 0.4 behind Alonso. If you don't have the bad experience of the first 2 races then you guys will be dissapointed. Also Michael's result was helped by a few others making mistakes including Fisichella and Raikkonen. Even Alonso made a mistake and would have been closer to the mid 1.29's

Regarding the Ferrari bits, it is embarassing for Ferrari not to have spare parts but I guess they knew the old car won't score so taking this risk may have been the only realistic way to go.
Barrichello though will struggle. He locked up those tyres pretty bad and that will wreck them

I don't know why Renault need to be worried, apart from reliability I don't think Alonso has anything to worry about

Alonso's comment on Trulli, well I can see his point. Last year until Canada Trulli outqualified Alonso (then things went down hill for him) and looking at the gap between Alonso and Fisichella this year then for sure Trulli is very very fast.
Also look at where Ralf is ?
On qualifying in general, I don't know if we are seeing a trend but the new format differentiates drivers more than before

Enjoy the hottest F1 race ever  8) :D

Ferrari may have taken a risk yes but looking at the speed of the new car it is well worth it.

This is the first race for the F2005 and it is very fast.

Today will be a good fight, in San Marino watch the F2005 dominate

I'll be surprised if he finishes

This is a premature Ferrari. Chances of survival are slim

Maybe in San Marino they'll be better but the other teams will be better too!

Interesting what Michael said when asked if he was confident the gearbox problem won't happen on his car: "We are pretty certain of this. We have plenty of miles with those gearboxes, it was just one odd one, which happened to be in Rubens? car, that seemed to have a problem. It is the first time we have had it and there was nothing we could do against it"

From the Qualifying press conference

The only explanation is that Rubens car has a test gearbox otherwise how can Michael be certain ?
It is all fishy to be honest. Maybe they have a spare gearbox but they want to keep it for Michael. Conspiracy I know but it is just doesn't make sense. Thoughts from the Ferrari camp ?
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!

Oh so how pleasant should the post be ?

How can Michael be certain his gearbox won't fail ? How given that Rubens failed and they are supposed to driving the same car :furious:

At least at BAR you know they fit crook engines to both cars   :rolling:
