Yeah you're right. I keep confusing Liuzzi and Klien. :bang:

Although I agree that Button was doing a grand job catching up with Alonso I still don't think he'd have won if MS and FA weren't out. It'd have been real close but when I think back the way FA drove on wet surface and MS on dry... Both guys were flying.

That said I am glad that Button finally got to win. He needed that. I'd love him to get up there with the others and become a title contender. Imagine a season 07 with Alonso, Schumi, Kimi and Button all fighting for the title.

Last but not least, BMW and JV must have read my mind, JV is gone. Mutual consent it's said. Good decision cuz Kubica will be more useful to the team than JV.

Apparently because of the wear on his tyres. Surely that would have to apply to MS too and given what I saw of his tyres they would be lucky to stand up to scrutiny too.
That damned Scrutiny his an evil son ofa b**ch! One of these days someone's gonna stand up to him an' give him a bloody nose! :argue:

Jensons tyres looked like sh*te too, but I guess that doesn't count because he isn't Alonso or Schumacher or :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2: :blah2:
Yeah it sure looks like discrimination to me too. If that is the case then everyone's tyres should have been checked for legality of wear etc.

Ahhhhhh, the old scrutiny thing and cr@ppy rules and regs again.
Dry tires have to clearly show grooves at the end of session/race. (as we all know)
Wet/inters are not subject to the same rule. you could litteraly drive them into slicks and still be legal! How dumb is that???????????
Now if you however end up 2 kg too light, well then......................
I'm in shape

Round is a shape...........

To me Alonso The Cute is the driver of the day, King of the wet and the unluckiest person on earth.

Starting 14th and going on to lead the race by more than 30 seconds under wet conditions when many other "so called" masters of the wet either spun off or struggled to hold position.
Don't forget that Alonso had one of the heaviest cars out there too!!!!
And that driver who his fans always hope for a wet race, not only was he passed but was LAPPED, yes LAPPED. (I don't see the Ferrari fans commenting on this, they've gone into hiding again have they ? Kapel you are not included here, I am sure you have a reason  )

Alonso would have easily won the race, he made his last stop and was a few seconds behind Button and Button had yet to stop. With both on dry tyres Button would not have been able to pass Alonso. With that other driver struggling, Alonso's retirement couldn't have come at a worse time, the gap would have gone back to 20 points or so! Unlucky but that doesn't matter, Alonso The Cute PROVED (to those who still have doubts  ) he is in that league of best of the best :D 8) .

Whoever thinks that the other driver "so called" master of the wet had a chance to win must have watched another race. Had he stopped again for dry tyres he would have dropped behind de la Rosa and Heidfeld so he and his great advisor Brawn took a risk and stayed out on those worn intermediates but that driver's arrogance and crazy defending cost him a lot. (I still don't understand why he wasn't given a penalty for crossing the chicane and not giving the position)

Well done to Button on his first race win. He was relieved and lets hope he doesn't go back to sleep. Must say that this reminds me of Herbert's win some years back. For Button to prove himself, he needs to win under normal conditions. It is a win still  !
I'm back and yes supporting Alonso "The Cute" in the Ferrari!

JAYVEE,

youre really NOT BIASED

I would have to correct you though, JENSON was a deserved winner even if FERNANDO drove a great race and might have finished a close 2nd.

Re.MICHAEL, your memory might be a bit short-lived as he had gone into this race with 3 straight GP wins, so getting lapped might not have had to do much with driving ability....PS.lapped by FERNANDO who had NOT been to pits yet(a difference of a mere 20s..). The problems of the BRIDGESTONEs were pretty obvious, all the more impressive were MICHAELs initial laps. In the later part of the race the japanese rubber were competitive but for once FERRARI/MICHAEL decided wrongly not to go for dry tyres at the 2nd pit stop. Re.the stewards (non-)decision I think that was bearable as it was A) WET and B) NOWHERE TO GO!

Altogether a real tyre lottery but I could certainly have more of this!!! :P

We just need the blue and yellow cars to win and my philosophy for the season will be fulfilled.

What an interesting race!

Cant pint point my driver of the race,as there were many...
Initial stages it was by far Alonso, then in the middle stint Michael on his intermediates in dry and finally Button who finished the race!!!

Suprisingly bridgestone struggled big time in wets   Its seems Michelins have got Bridgestone's wet secrets & bridgestone have got Michelin's drys'
Its good that next year there is only one tyre supply & we would be able to see the driver+car+strategy win races & not tyres

Michael+Ferrari made a stupendous blunder of not changing to dry tyres which cost him atleast 5 points and Renault made the blunder that costed Alonso a race win or a podium atleast.

Kimi is a real expensive man,he probably was text mesging a friend as it was friendship day & Luizzi slowed to wish him personally  & they hugged each other at the expense of Mclaren & Red Bull

Well done to other drivers for finishing the race & getting the points, thats what counts in these kinda races.

Congratulation to Button for his first victory  Wonder his head would fit in his helmet now

Great race, no problems staying awake this time.

Highlights for me were MS and sweet FA sneaking down the outside at the start while everyone else took a shower on the inside. And then sweet FA's lines around the outside of the corners on the wet track at the start, completely different to everyone elses. I'm sure there will be a few people studying the video trying to figure out what he was doing. :maths:

I enjoyed MS's charge through the field as the track dried, its very easy for everyone to say he made a mistake not changing tyres at the end, but if it was that obvious dont you think they would have done it :?:

Jenson was a worthy winner, I'm not convinced sweet FA would have necessarily won if his wheel had stayed on, will have to look at the numbers.

Fuel cells which did not comply with regs, allowing them to willfully manipulate the weight of the car.
